I got this Old cabinet that holds the 78 records, if you had a Victrola in those days you may have had one of these cabinets. The shelves were broken and the back was split. I had some thin finished plywood and I cut it to size to make 2 shelves and a new back. Next step is to paint it. I think this is a keeper. This cabinet originally had 4 shelves, but for storage needs I am only using two. I love the door. And I am keeping the original little key slot for it as well as the emblem on the front.
Another estate sale find today from Blue Moon Estate sales. As you well know mom and dad wound up with my other display shelf. So for $10 I got this one. A little bit of TLC from me and it looks great! I used the Minwax black onyx on this also. No sanding or anything. Just wipe it on and let it dry for about an hour.

So my old flower cart is back together. I have the stand part on to hold it upright. Wheels and axel have been repaired. I started painting it in this nice antique red. But then it started raining. I am thinking black wheels with the red wagon. Then I will go back and distress it as well as adding a coat of poly on it to keep the weather from ruining it. Would make a great Flower display or Herb garden. May add some stenciling saying flowers or Herbs. Lets see how it goes.

New Treasure Today. I went to the goodwill and spotted this nice drop leaf table. Drop leaf works great. Everything is functional other than it has cosmetic damage, meaning scratches on the tops. But I think a nice new smooth finish will make it look new again. I can't wait to see the finished product. I have my ideas already. I am going light on this one.

The finished product on my mothers thrift shop find. This was difficult. Because of the way the hinges were made it was difficult to replace them. After buying 4 sets of hinges I finely got some assistance and found the ones that work. The drawer in the middle was broken on the inside. Hence fake drawer front on. She wanted flat black paint on the cabinet. It looks good but I was not really happy working with it. When distressing you get dust from the sanding and that dust shows well on black paint. It was not that easy to clean. But all in all another project finished. A true labor of love this one was.
